Nurturing Resilience: The Power of Storytelling to Build Healthier Bodies and Communities will feature Nancy Mellon as the keynote speaker. Nancy has been a pioneer of storytelling as a healing art during her career as a therapist, educator and author of Body Eloquence: The Power of Myth and Story to Awaken the Body's Energies.
The conference will be held March 5-7, 2010, in Milwaukee at Mount Mary College. It's presented by Great Lakes Teacher Training. Educators, healing professionals, parents, artists, community members and anyone who wants to explore therapeutic storytelling are invited. A flyer with registration form and a scholarship application are attached. You can download the 12 page brochure at http://www.waldorftraining.com/marchconf_jan112010.htm.
Nancy works experientially so everyone should take home rich content. In addition to her three keynotes on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, there will be three workshop sessions on Saturday with 18 diverse, exciting workshops to choose from. Our workshop presenters are talented and experienced. If you are interested, you can download or I can email you our 12-page brochure that describes the workshops, presenters, etc.
On Saturday night bring family and friends to our family-friendly Festival of Healing Stories that's open to the public, also at Mount Mary.
Early registration: Save $70 by registering by January 15; save $40 by registering by February 15. If you need a partial scholarship, please let us know. Some work-study is available for those who will help before or during the conference. Application form is attached.
